So it's that time of year for me to get to work on a piece to submit to the Spectrum publication competition. If anyone else is interested you can get info here:

I have gotten in before but the competition is crazy hard. It's so worth the effort though, for one it gives me a deadline for work on my stuff and without one It's hard to keep my motivation up. The year I had a piece get in it was so helpful, I got several commissions and got to do a book signing and meet the other artists... so much fun.

It's going to be a whole city made up of derelict ships with daub and wattle buildings and bridges. I know I'm looking at hundreds of hours but when I light it and shoot it, perhaps I'll get in Spectrum again. Best of luck to everyone else who's entering!
